synodic
The amount of time required for a given body to return to a given position relative to Earth.
sidereal
The time required for a given body to return to the same position relative to the stars.
albedo
the proportion of the incident light or radiation that is reflected by a surface, typically that of a planet or moon
conjunction
an alignment of two planets or other celestial objects so that they appear to be in the same, or nearly the same, place in the sky.
Perennial
blooms for one season each year
Biennial
grows for two years, but only blooms for one season in the second year
Annual
only lives for one season and then dies
Deciduous
hardwood trees that shed their leaves in the winter
Coniferous
trees that stay green year round (aka evergreens), usually have needle-shaped leaves
tynged
A tynged is the Welsh equivalent of the Irish geis, similar to being under a vow, curse or spell.
